P0700 Subaru

My 2006 Subaru outback LL Bean 3.0 6 cylinder had the
steady check engine, and flashing cruise come on. I
bought a cheap scanner and got codes P0700 and P0817
what do I do to fix these. What fuse is related? Thanks for
your help!!

P0700 SUBARU Description The Transmission Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transmission control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. When the code P0700 is set in the Powertrain Computer, it means that the Powertrain Computer or PCM is seeing greater than a specified RPM difference between the rotational speed of the Input RPM Sensor and the Transmission Output RPM Sensor. This can occur during shifting or when driving at steady speeds in the same gear. Most of times if a P0700 is detected, other codes are stored too. In order to check the circumstances under which the check engine light was illuminated, all the freeze frame data should be scanned. To duplicate the concern, the technician should clear the codes and test drive the vehicle. The P0700 code is informational. The code points to a general fault, not a direct fault. To correctly identify the problem, you will need to have a scan tool that communicates with the TCM to determine the problem in the transmission. When the P0700 code is present, the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) may be illuminated.

Not a fuse issue. Start by disconnecting and cleaning the transmission harness connector. If not resolved remove the lower shifter console and clean the area around the shifter 'park' switch..especially remove any food or detritus therein.Still problematic? Ignore or chase a Subie dealer for an advanced scan.
